DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nWould you like to learn the skills needed to use & interpret historic aerial photography?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for an online half day training course that will give you the skills needed to use aerial photography as a tool to help understand and interpret historic sites and landscapes. \nThe training\, which will be lead by experts from Historic England’s Aerial Investigation & Mapping team\, will be an enjoyable interactive session with a combination of presentations and practical exercises. Using the designed landscape at Belhus Park as a recent case study in the application of aerial photography\, the training will cover: \n\nThe value of aerial photographs for historic research\n\n\nTypes\, uses and sources of aerial photography\n\n\nHow to access sources of aerial photography\n\n\nWhat you can see in different photographs\n\nParticipants will come away with a better understanding of aerial photographs and how they can be used. \nThe training session will be held online via Zoom on Friday 11th March\, 9.30am – 1pm. \nA booking fee of £5 applies. \n\n\n\n\n
