SUMMARY:River Rom/Beam Outfall Safari
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE HELP SURVEY OUTFALLS ON THE RIVERS ROM/BEAM \nPollution can find its way into urban rivers via surface water outfalls (drains) as a result of misconnected plumbing. \nZSL and the Land of the Fanns are looking for volunteers to help conduct Outfall Safari surveys along the Rivers Rom and Beam. This involves surveying stretches of the river to map and record the impact of outfalls with the help of a mobile app.\nThe surveys will take place during: April 2019 \nAs a volunteer\, you can choose which stretch of river to survey and conduct the survey at a time that is convenient to you\, within the survey period of April 2019. Where possible the survey will be conducted from the footpath by the side of the river but\, in parts\, it may be necessary to walk in the river where it is safe to do so.
