DESCRIPTION:Riverfly Monitoring Training Course – Rom & Beam\n\n\nby Zoological Society of London\n\n\n  \nLand of the Fanns and London Wildlife Trust are coordinating a Riverfly Monitoring Initiative (RMI) on the River Rom/Beam in 2019. The RMI is a national scheme for monitoring the health of rivers developed by the Riverfly Partnership. \nRMI sampling uses the presence and abundance of invertebrates in a sample to gauge the health of your river. Free training in the sampling method will be provided by the Zoological Society of London. \nIn the training you will learn: \n\nThe theory of the RMI and how it helps improve rivers\nHow to kick sample ariver\nHow to identify riverinvertebrates and score a sample\nWhat to do with the data you collect and how to get involved in Riverfly Monitoring Schemes across London\n\nPlease sign up for your ticket to attend free RMI training here.\nPlaces are limited so please make sure you can sample your river for at least 6 months (1 sample per month) before registering. \nMore information is here; www.riverflies.org/rp-riverfly-monitoring-initiative \nYou must be over 16 to attend this course \nEquipment and refreshments will be provided. \n
