Writing for the web and digital media

Introductory session ideal for anyone who would like to understand how to develop their writing skills for digital media. Whether you manage a community website, write a blog or want to keep your social media feed updated this session will provide you with expert guidance and helpful tips.

This training session has been organised for people in the Land of the Fanns area with an environmental or heritage focus.

Strategies for success: developing a plan for your content and communications This session will introduce strategic thinking about web content including sourcing and planning stories for the web; identifying and targeting key audiences and looking at how to create messages that will spark enthusiasm.

About the Trainer

Holly Powell-Jones started in news in 2011 and has been designing and running her own media training since 2013.She began her career presenting and producing content for TV news show ‘London 360’ and BBC Radio London, going on to become a freelance reporter and newsreader for a variety of radio stations. Holly is a guest lecturer on a number of PR, Journalism and Media courses and recently completed a PhD in social media law and ethics at City, University of London.
